The commissioners meet the first and third Mondays each month unless there is a holiday or a special circumstance. During January, February and March the meetings are at 9:30 AM in the Lucille Sadler room of the Administration Building, 180 South Main, Martinsville. Check the calendar before coming. All the meetings are public. There are occasionally some executive sessions where matters of personnel affairs and other business defined by statute are discussed. Deb Verley is the administrative assistant. Each commissioner must reside in the district they represent, but are elected by all the residents in the county. They serve a a four year term.
